We hear this from parents every week.
The screens, the attitude, the quitting when things get hard. It is not a character flaw. It is a missing environment.
-
01Kids rise to what's around them.
"My kid gives up the moment something gets difficult and I cannot get them to push through anything."
-
02You are not out of answers. You are out of the right room.
"I feel like I am failing them by not finding something that actually builds who they are becoming."
-
03The standard we hold every kid to.

Structured Classes
Every class follows a deliberate structure: warm-up, technique instruction, drilling, and controlled application. Students know what to expect, and that consistency is part of what makes training effective. Instructors keep class moving, on task, and purposeful from the moment students step on the mat.
A Real Machado Lineage
Davis Martial Arts & Fitness is a certified Machado Method affiliate. Head instructor Cameron Davis is a BJJ brown belt under Master Carlos Machado and a 5th-degree Krav Maga black belt. You learn from a real lineage, not a franchise script.
Real Progression
Belt promotions here are earned, not scheduled. Students advance when they demonstrate the technique, attitude, and consistency the next rank requires. Parents see measurable change because we track it and communicate it. What your student earns here is real.

Cameron Davis
BJJ Brown Belt under Master Carlos Machado · 5th-Degree Black Belt, Krav Maga
Most martial arts instructors are experts in a single system. Cameron Davis has spent more than two decades building expertise across multiple martial arts, real-world self-defense, and tactical operations, and he blends Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga, Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts, and tactical combatives into one system. He has trained civilians, law enforcement officers, military personnel, security professionals, and families who want self-defense that actually works. Every technique is pressure tested and every drill has a purpose.
LEARN MOREWhat Families Are Saying
The kindest words come from the families who have been on the mat the longest.

I can’t say enough good things about this family-owned BJJ academy. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family, not just another student. The instructors are not only incredibly skilled but also patient, encouraging, and truly dedicated to helping everyone—kids and adults alike—reach their goals.

Everything You Want to Know Before You Come In.
How old does my child need to be to start?
Kids can begin Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with us as early as age 4. Our Kids BJJ program runs from ages 4 to 12, grouped so younger and older kids each get the right mix of structure, fun, and challenge. At 13 and up, students move into our Adult & Teen BJJ classes. Every program is built for the age and stage of the student in it.
How much is the free first class, and what does it include?
Your first class is completely free. You do not need to buy anything or bring any equipment. No experience is required. You pick a time, show up in comfortable athletic clothes, and train. It is the easiest way to see what training at Davis Martial Arts & Fitness is actually like.
Do you offer any membership discounts?
We take 20% off membership for first responders, police and fire department, and for teachers. Family plans are available, with discounted rates based on how many people from the same household sign up. If two, three, or four people from your house want to train, tell us at your visit and we will price it for your household. We do not run a separate military or veteran discount.
What disciplines do you teach in Pilot Point?
We teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for kids and for teens and adults, Krav Maga for teens and adults, and Muay Thai and Kickboxing for teens and adults. We also run a Summer Camp. As a certified Machado Method affiliate, our BJJ is grounded in the Machado system, and head instructor Cameron Davis brings a deep Krav Maga background to our self-defense training.
Do I need any gear to get started?
Not for your first class. Comfortable athletic clothes and a water bottle are all you need to step on the mat. Once you enroll, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu students train in a gi, and we will tell you exactly which one to get and when. Nothing else gets pushed on you.
What makes Davis Martial Arts & Fitness different?
Three things. We are a certified Machado Method affiliate, so our BJJ comes straight from one of the most respected lineages in the art. We teach real Krav Maga self-defense under a 5th-degree black belt, which most jiu-jitsu schools do not offer. And we keep multiple disciplines under one roof, so a whole family can train jiu-jitsu, striking, and self-defense in the same place.
How do you keep classes safe?
Safety is built into how we run every class. New students learn technique without resistance before any contact is introduced. Instructors hold the line on control and stop drills if mechanics create injury risk. Sparring and live rolling are introduced only when a student has the awareness and self-control to do them responsibly.
What if my child has never done martial arts before?
Most of our students start with zero experience. Beginners are welcome in every class and instructors meet each student at their current level. The goal of the first month is to build confidence and comfort, not to push anyone past where they are.

A Year From Now, You Will Wish You Had Started This Year.
The habits your family is building right now are the habits you will have a year from now. Better to shape them on purpose.

The habits your child is building right now will still be the habits they have a year from now. Better to shape them on purpose than by accident.

Confidence is a muscle. Kids who get to use it early carry more of it into school, sports, and how they talk to adults.

Family routines that train discipline and respect together become the routines that hold a household steady when things get hectic.
